9,000
Seeker #1758 at every stage. The art brightens every 1,500 charge, then wakes up at 9,000.
1. The roll
At the reveal, each seeker got a starting charge between 0 and 8,500, drawn from a secret the team committed to before mint plus a later block hash. The real rolls ran from 6 to 8,498.
Loadouts: the rarer the build, the lower the charge
The starting charge decides the loadout, and the loadout decides which trait slots the art fills. The rarest builds are dealt the least charge, so they have the longest road to 9,000.
| Loadout | Seekers | Starting charge | Trait slots filled | Days to 9,000* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bare | 32 · 1.4% | 6–133 | None: no object, head, flank or back | ~178 |
| Fully Loaded | 56 · 2.5% | 134–356 | All four: object, Periscope head, flank, Banner back | ~175 |
| Light | 302 · 13.6% | 365–1,467 | Floating object only | ~162 |
| Heavy | 712 · 32.0% | 1,472–4,268 | Object, head and flank | ~123 |
| Standard | 1,120 · 50.4% | 4,269–8,498 | Object, and sometimes a head, flank or back | ~53 |
*Median seeker of each loadout, from charging alone. Shares from other seekers' moves make it sooner.
So the art's rarest builds and the race to 9,000 pull in opposite directions. A Bare or Fully Loaded seeker is the rarest to look at and the slowest to wake. A Standard is the most common and the closest.
2. Charging
Every seeker gains +50 charge a day. On charging alone, the fastest seeker reaches 9,000 about 10 days after the reveal, the median about 94 days, and the slowest about 180.
3. Moving costs 25%
Any transfer after the reveal, whether a sale, a gift or a move to your own wallet, releases 25% of the seeker's charge. It's split equally among every other seeker that isn't recorded yet. Seekers that sit still collect from every one of those moves.

4. Activation at 9,000
When a seeker reaches 9,000 it activates: its art becomes the animated version, and its charge stops at 9,000 until it's recorded. It's recorded by its next move, which costs no tax, or by anyone calling activate().
5. Recorded
A recorded seeker keeps gaining +50 a day above 9,000. From then on, a move releases 25% of only the charge above 9,000, into a separate pool shared by the other recorded seekers.
6. Discharge, a trait of its own
Wallets like MetaMask and marketplaces like OpenSea show a seeker's metadata as traits, and two of them are Discharge (the size of its latest release) and Uplink (everything it has released, added up). Every seeker that never moved shares the same values, 0 and 0. Every seeker that moved gets its own numbers, shared by no other seeker.
Marketplace rarity scores reward one-of-a-kind trait values, so a seeker that moved stands out on OpenSea. The team knows, and treats it as part of the design: Discharge is a trait of its own, the mark a seeker's journey leaves on it, and it will have its own use. A seeker that's sold carries its Discharge to the buyer as a bonus.
- Every one of OpenSea's top 101 seekers has moved since the reveal.
- Seekers that moved sit at a median OpenSea rank of 85. Seekers that never moved sit at 1,191.
- A moved seeker has released about 1,600 charge on average, about 32 days of charging, into every other seeker.
- #2207 is the rarest seeker by its art and has never moved. OpenSea ranks it #122.
- #255 is a Heavy at trait rank 92. It moved, released 1,246 charge, and OpenSea now ranks it #5.
OpenSea figures as of 13 October 2026, the first day after the reveal. They shift as OpenSea rescores.
So OpenSea's rank mixes two kinds of rare: the art a seeker was dealt (its loadout and traits) and the path it has taken (its Discharge and Uplink). If you're collecting for rare art, the team's advice is that the loadout is the safer play. If you're playing the side quest, Discharge is the point. The chain shows both: starting charge, current charge, what it has sent out and collected, and how far it is from 9,000.
Every seeker's real numbers, live, are on the monitor. Its trait rank leaves Charge, Discharge and Uplink out on purpose. The rules & strategy page has the move math.
